Struggling to switch languages

Anyone here is also struggling to change the language of Trello from the default (which is in German without asking me!) to English? I tried the setting, and it brings me to Atlassian accounts, in which I can change the language, but it switches back to German when I go to Trello again. Any tips?

Some solutions that there are suggested:

• Disabling ad blocker extension in Chrome
