Sharepoint & Trello

NES Admin February 16, 2024

Hi,

Our customer wants to use Trello in Sharepoint; in the SharePoint pages, you can add Trello via MS page builder.

We get to sign in, and then, I can select an account, board - but when I click next; we get the following error.

I have raised this with Microsoft, and after a week of waiting to get back - they say it's not their issue.

Any idea on how to get this fixed would be great.

Thank you.

Hi @NES Admin - welcome to the Community!

I'm sorry to redirect you back to Microsoft, but we also wouldn't be able to help with this at Atlassian. Did Microsoft Support share any details as to why they believe it's out of their scope?

We do not have any official integration with Sharepoint.

Hi Alex,

I would have tried to contact Trello directly, but as far as I know, Trello is part of Atlassian, and all the support goes to here.

It's a 3rd party application, and thus Microsoft won't deal with it -

In SharePoint, you can select Trello, sign in, select a board and try to connect and then when you get this error.

Thank you.

Hi @NES Admin - while we very much support Trello here, we cannot support third party Power-Ups or integrations with Trello not built by us.

By the Sharepoint integration, I'm assuming you're using this connector, is that correct? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/trello/

If so, as it states on that page, this connector is built by Microsoft. Not by Atlassian.

Can you reach back out to Microsoft Support if you're using this connector, and let them know that they are the contact for it, and therefore are responsible for its support? If they believe there is an issue on our end, can you please ask them to contact their contact at Atlassian to describe what this issue is and get this fixed, or let you know what the issue is so you can convey it to us?

If you're not using this connector to integrate Trello and Sharepoint, please direct me to links of what you are using so I can confirm the correct support contact for you. Atlassian does not maintain or support any integration between Sharepoint and Trello. You can see what Power-Ups are first-party (as in developed by Trello/Atlassian) at https://trello.com/power-ups/made-by-trello

Hi Alex,

Thank you for the fast response - I have advised Microsoft - as that was the connector. Thank you.

No worries @NES Admin - I'm sorry that they redirected you back to us. Please tell them that they're welcome to reach out to their contacts at Atlassian if they feel that there is a bug on our end causing the Connector to stop working.

Hi Alex,

I think Microsoft is refusing to deal with it; as it's not their department, even though they are the contact.

Rather disappointing; as I now have to use different products to achieve this.

Thank you.

Hi @NES Admin - I'm sorry to hear this. I'm not sure why they're pushing back here when they own the connector and can get in touch with us if they're running into issues. Can you screenshot what their response is? I will be escalating this to our partnerships team.
