Resolving mismatched Google Drive access

I've recently started working with a new company, integrating Trello to manage projects. I created a NEW Trello account, workspace, team, etc. and integrated the Google Drive power up where I gave access to my Google Drive at the NEW company. When I try to attach files from Google, Trello gives me a Drive search page for MY OLD COMPANY... to which I don't (shouldn't) even have access any longer.

I have unassigned and reassigned the Google Drive through the Power Up integration process multiple times. I even removed the Google Power Up entirely and then re-added it, and then reassigned the drive. I'm still defaulting to the prior company's Google Drive.

I double-checked my Trello login to make sure that I'm logged in using the new account access (with new email).

Any ideas for resolution?? Can anyone point me to an email or phone number for a Trello employee who could help?

Hey Erin!

It sounds to me that you may have still been logged-in to your old company's Google account in your browser when you authorized that connection on the Trello side, despite being a former employee there. I believe the linking screens in Trello would default to whatever Google account you're currently logged into.

What I would do is:

  1. Open the Trello board, then open the Google Drive Power-Up settings from the Power-Ups menu, click "Edit Power-Up settings", then "Sign out"
  2. Open up Trello and go to trello.com/my/account, then revoke any Google tokens you see there
  3. Similarly, go to the Google account where you made that connection and revoke any links to Trello from Google's Security settings
  4. Go to Google.com and sign out of all Google accounts except your preferred one
  5. Head back to the Google Drive Power-Up settings and click "Edit Power-Up settings", then "Link Google Drive Account"

That should let you connect with the preferred Google account! If not, don't hesitate to create a ticket and we can dive in a bit deeper with you: trello.com/contact
