Red bell notification icon (on card) not showing for originator of a mirror card.

Hello,

 

When I use various plugins to create mirror cards, my colleague's get the red bell icon showing up on their cards when they have new things happen.  I do not get any notifications when they comment back or do something else.  I am watching the card so not sure what else to do?
