Previous Trello account email got closed. Can I recover my board or is it all gone?

So my old email account is closed and I forgot to sign in to my Trello account to change my email address to the current one I have and unfortunately unable to sign in unless I give them a code that’s been sent to the email address that’s closed. 
I have tons of links (personal and ones for professional development) that I want to recover. 
I tried sending an email to Atlassian using my new email but unfortunately the reply was less than helpful. 
Last ditch effort but can anyone help me or am I doomed with the links/tabs I’ve accrued over the years?

Unfortunately, the only way to access those boards is through your original email address. For security reasons, we're unable to change the email address associated with your account or invite your new account to the boards. I recommend reaching out to your email provider, they might have some recovery options for you.

Additionally, if you’re still logged in on any devices, like your mobile phone, you may be able to share access to the boards with your new email. If you were collaborating with other people, it's also worth connecting with other members on the boards, as they could assist you in adding your new account.
