On 8th April, free Workspaces will be limited to 10 collaborators.

rudiatulhikmah March 18, 2024

Hi, May I know whether this information is legit or not?

Evaluate Current Boards: Review your existing boards to identify which ones have more than 10 collaborators. These boards will be affected by the new limit if they are created after April 8, 2024, and are on the Free plan.

Existing Boards: Boards that were created before April 8, 2024, and have more than 10 collaborators will not be affected by the new collaborator limit. They can continue to have more than 10 collaborators on the Free plan.

So, both points are true but refer to different scenarios:

Boards created before the deadline with more than 10 collaborators are not impacted.

Boards created after the deadline with more than 10 collaborators will be affected by the new limit on the Free plan.

can you justify the above information is correct or not and what is the price to upgrade for each tier and what is the different and limitation between the three tier which is standard, premium and enterprise?

Hi @rudiatulhikmah

Where did you get this information from?

According to this blog, the behaviour will be:

  • Starting April 8, 2024: If your free Trello Workspace already has 10 or more collaborators, you won’t be able to add new collaborators to the Workspace, unless you upgrade your plan or reduce the number of collaborators to below the limit.
  • Starting May 20, 2024: If your free Trello Workspace has more than 10 collaborators, the boards in this Workspace will become view-only. You’ll be able to see all the boards in the Workspace but won’t be able to make changes, unless you upgrade your plan or reduce the number of collaborators to below the limit.

In terms of pricing and features in paid plans, you can see information for that here: https://trello.com/pricing

You can also get a price estimate from within your Trello Workspace:

  1. Go to Trello's homepage
  2. On the left-hand side, open the settings options next to your Workspace ("v" icon)
  3. Select Settings
  4. Next, on the left-hand side select Workspace settings > Upgrade workspace
  5. Scroll to the bottom of each list; this will provide you pricing estimates (aside from Enterprise, you need to contact sales for this. There's a button on this screen to do that).
