Hello there, I tried to find it myself but no luck.
Is this possible to make:
1. I create, edit and work with a card in my board.
2. I copy the card via an automation button to an second board.
3. When the copied card is moved to a certain list in that second board...
4. ...i want my original card in my board to change color/status.
What I want to achieve is that when I hand over a task to someone who works in another, different board. Then I want to receive a notification when the task is done.
Hi Gabriel,
Welcome to the Community! It looks like creating a card button will help you achieve this. You can watch this short Youtube tutorial as a guide. Once you have this card button setup, this will be available in all cards within that board. You can do 1) and then on that card you can 2) click the card button to copy the card and then it also does 3) and 4)
Here's how:
Note that you can add any actions to the original card just as long as you are able to link the card together and find the original card. The sequence of the actions is important as well.

Thanks, very helpful but is it possible to "add the purple label to the card" when the card is moved into a certain list in the other board?

Hi Gabriel,
Did you mean you wanted to add a label to the copied card instead of the original card? If that is the case, you just move this action "add the purple label to the card" up by two places before "linking cards together" action so it is applied to the copied card. Please see the screenshot that I shared for guidance.

All steps i think are great, until the last one. I want to color label to be changes of original card when the copied card is moved into a specific list.

Hi Gabriel,
Can you please elaborate on this:
I want to color label to be changes of original card when the copied card is moved into a specific list.
The screenshot above shows that the "add the purple label to the card" means this will be adding a purple label to the original card, after the original card has been copied to a specific list via "copy the card to the top of list "To Do". If you need to change this to a specific list, you can explore the options on the Move tab and create your Action according to what you need:

Hi Gabriel,
Thanks for sharing your workflow in full context. Here is the process map:
From what I can understand in your process map, there is going to be at least two automations involved here. The automation I shared earlier includes step 2 (copy the card to board B) but without the label changes:
It is important that you link them together so you have a way to reference the original card from the copied card in your second automation. The second automation will perform step 4 and 5 using Rules. This rule will be created inside board B. If all copied cards are in board B and linked to their original cards then you can use a Trigger that listens to when a card is moved to a specific list. You can then look for the original card attached to the copied card and add the green label.
You can explore more options for any other specific scenarios that you have.
Hope this helps!

Super! Thank you so much. That solved it. Now I understand more and will explore even more buttons and trigger.
Very very grateful for all your help!
