I have had a few members of a particular team accidentally create a new board in a free workspace outside our main corporate workspace for which we have a premium subscription for all staff. The board now has a considerable amount of information and many cards with assigned users. I want to move it to the corporate workspace, where it should have been created to begin with.
Under the Board, when I go to Settings / Workspace, the ability to change the workspace is greyed out, possibly because it is a free workspace.
I can 'copy' the board, but in doing so, lose all the information about members assigned to cards.
C'mon Atlassian - any way to make this easier?
Ηι @Johan OBrien and welcome to the community,
I don't think you have a problem moving a board from a free trello to a paid one. https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/moving-a-board-to-a-different-workspace/
Can you please confirm the below prerequisite:
To move a board to a new Workspace you must be an admin of the board, and a member of the Workspace you are moving the board to.
Many thanks Alex. I realised I was an admin of the workspace I was moving the board from, but not an admin of the board. Upon having a board admin try, they were successful.
