Is Trello right for Loan Processors?

Hi, I'm not sure if Trello can do the following:

- automated email notifications

- send out email templates 

- remind a client on items that need to be collected. 

Is it difficult to set these things up on Trello?

The simple answer is yes. The correct board design, use of power up, automation, team work goes a long way to achieve the benefits you desire.  Here are some articles that might be helpful. Automating emails using templates is definitely doable. I used it to send reminders to subscribers.
