IOS app synchronisation frequency

I noticed a significant lack the synchronisation on the ios app even when the change is made on the ios app...eg card movement triggers a new card on ios shows up almost immediately on the desktop but not until sometime or I hit the 'synced' on the About Board panel.

Is there some setup on the ios side that can make the ios app respond quicker to the changes.
