I just lost a list from my board. Not sure what happened, but no longer there. Anyway to retrieve it?

Hi Reinhard! Welcome to the community.

Maybe the list was archived on that board. You can check that by going to the board menu (the 3 dots next to share button):

Click on "More" within the board menu.
Select "Archived items"
Click "Switch to lists" near the top of the page and see if your missing list is there
Choose the list and click "Send to Board".
