Is it possible for one person with one email address to create two workspaces with two separate teams?
One will have a "Standard" subscriber and the other a "Premium" subscriber. Are the two workspaces interoperable for the two teams?
Can "Premium" subscribers interact (can they be collaborators) with the "Standard" workspace?
Or if an email address is associated with one workspace and gets access to all "boards" in another (becomes a collaborator), does it have to be a subscriber in that workspace as well? So you have to subscribe twice?

Hi @BódisGergely

Upgrades apply to the entire Workspace rather than an individual user, so you wouldn't choose individual people to upgrade. Once you upgrade, the bill is automatically calculated taking into account all users.

However, that doesn't mean that all users have to be paid for as part of that bill. That depends on these criteria:

  1. Members of the Workspace itself are always billable
  2. Guests of the Workspace are billable if they are members of more than one board. If the guest is only on one board, they're free.

We have some more info on how this works here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/how-billing-works-with-trello-premium-and-standard/

If you'd like to see in advance how much it would cost to upgrade your Workspace, you can find that by going to the Workspace billing page. To navigate there, click on the down arrow next to "Workspace settings" in the sidebar, as shown in the screenshot below, and then click on "Upgrade workspace." You'll be able to switch between monthly and annual billing on that page to see how much each option would cost for either Trello Premium or Trello Standard.

In your case, you can indeed have 2 workspaces, one as standard and 1 as premium.

Those who you need to collaborate on both would free if they exist on only 1 board in each workspace (Single-board guests).

In terms of interoperability, you can move and copy at board and card level between workspaces.  You can run automations that will also shift things from 1 workspace to another...
