How to create a board button in Trello to FILTER the entire board?

David Ponder March 14, 2023

I would like to create a 'Board button' to replicate what I can do manually; that is Filter but a specific label.

Unless I am mistaken I only see an option to Sort not Filter when creating a Board button.

I realise I can create a Workspace View to do this but I need to have button on my board to do this; is this possible?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Kind regards

David.

Or this is a better option 🤣

Tinypowerups subscription is an absolute bargain and you'll find yourself using more tiny powerups than you thought you would. 🙂

Okay, so with automation you cannot create a filter button but how neat would that be if you could??? (I'm looking at you Trello peeps 😉)

One neat trick you can do, filters actually have their own address so you can copy the address from the title bar of your browser and paste it into Trello, which will turn into a board link.

You can set the card title of the cover card (in black) to describe the filter, e.g. "Assigned to me"

Here it is in action
