Currently, a free team (teams will later be renamed to Workspaces) - can only have 10 boards in it.
A Business Class team has no limit.
Trello Gold is a personal subscription that gives you access to some extra Power-Ups and custom images as backgrounds, stickers, etc. A Trello Gold subscription would not change the limit on free teams. For that you would want to cancel Gold and purchase Business Class.
