How do I check if an admin who is no longer here has created any automations?

Bhavani Vajrakarur May 6, 2024

Hello,

We have been working on cleaning up users on our Trello Workspace. Our previous admin, who created a lot of boards, is no longer with the company. If we delete or remove this person from Guests, will it delete all the boards she created, remove users, and/or essentially cause us to lose everything (i.e. all our boards) in our account?

I received the following response:

-------

Removing a user will not delete the boards they created. This page has additional details. https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/removing-a-member-from-a-board/

-------

There's a disclaimer that popped up saying "When a member is removed from a board, automations they have created will also be removed."

Question: How do I check if they created any automations?

Haven't heard a response yet. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

B

Hi Bhavani,

Thanks for reaching out!

If you'd like to be able to see rules that other users have created, you'll need to upgrade to Trello Premium. You can start a free trial here: https://trello.com/free-trial.

With Trello Premium, if you're a Workspace admin, you'll have admin powers over users' automation and be able to view, enable and disable those rules.

You can read more about that here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/administrative-powers-in-butler/.

You can find all the features included in Trello Premium here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/trello-premium-user-guide/.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.

All the best,

Lara
