Changing board admins

I have a basic account for my team.

 

I am the admin. An ex-employee created two boards and is the admin. I have removed her from workspace but cannot rename/close or get admin rigths to the two boards.

Why if I am admin to the workspace do I not have admin rights to two of these 10 boards?

Yes but I am not the Board admin - a former colleague was... (I am workspace admin and this board is in our workspace, but the user/admin has left the company and now we cannot update the board settings as she is the admin...)
