Can you share or discuss work privately in Trello?

I'd like to be able to share work or allow a team or small group of people to share or discuss their work, without making it public to everyone on that board or card.

Essentially - we use Trello for creative copy & design execution and management.  Is there a way for a writer to share they copy with a designer, on the card or in Trello somehow, with the client/business owner seeing that back and forth?  Of course in this case, the client is on the Trello card.  I know you can have "observers" so they can't comment but they would see the activity, right?

Would love to know if there are ways around this to allow parts of the team to collaborate, without alerting or involving the client side.

@sshriber nope, if someone is on the board they can see everything. If you have some internal processes, you could always create a board and link it to the card so that you can have a more detailed internal process and then only post relevant updates to the card that links to the board that the client can see:
