I want to add a gmail email as an attachment to a card. Sort of to illustrate what was discussed/ sent in the email. Emails can be a long thread so adding screenshots of it to the card is not really good. Could also be that the card is related to multiple, separate email threads, so adding pdfs or images of the emails is also not really a good option. And do not want the email to be the header or subject of the card. The card could be a bigger task than the email. The email is just a part of the task/ card. This is available in clickup through the chrome extension and attach to task option so thought if there is any way in trello also.

Hi @Denia Hernández ,

Did you try with Zapier or Make? I think it could be possible to create a trigger when an email has been received, that add the mail thread as an attachment in the card. Here you will need to create an auxiliary database to link Trello Cards, Mail addresses and Threads Ids.

On the other hand if you prefer an out-of-the-box solution Crmble Power-Up. could be a great solution. Email conversations are automatically organized by thread as long as the email address is added to a Contact in Crmble. Additionally, you can send emails and use templates directly from the Trello card.

You have two options:

  1. You can forward the email to a Trello board so it can create a new card with the email attached. Directions here https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-cards-by-email/
  2. Or you can forward the email to a specific card, which will add the entire email as a comment (Note: the Share button on the cardback has an email address for the card)
