[Bug] Moving Card to Different List Unwatches It

I am using a Trello board with all automation disabled. When moving a card I have joined and am watching from one list to another, or reordering the card within a list, the app for some reason sets the card to unwatched. The card stays like this until I open it up, when then I am set back to watching the card. This is an issue with the Trello app from the Microsoft Store on Windows, version 2.15.2-872. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this a known bug? Any timeline for a fix? This bug has existed for about a year.

Is this issue occurring only on the desktop app for Windows? If possible, could you share a video of the bug here? I'll attempt to reproduce it and see what's going on.

Hey Alisson,

Thanks for the response. Attached below is a gif of the bug in the Windows app. After checking, this bug also exists for me via Google Chrome, but the iOS app does not have this issue.

My bet would be that this is just a UI bug. Closing the Windows app and reopening it causes the watching icon to reappear on the card. Looking at the board from the iOS app also shows that the item is being watched.

Let me know if you are able to reproduce and if so, when a fix is expected.

Thank you for the GIF. You're right; I was able to replicate the same behavior. While reviewing our open bugs, I noticed a similar issue when editing a card. I've updated the report to include your example of moving the lists as well.

I have also added this ticket as an internal comment to this report so that way our engineering team can reference to it and also use it to help align priority. I would also recommend you to visit that suggestion, login with your Atlassian account, and click Start watching this issue on the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in. Also, when the ticket is updated by our product team, you'll be notified via email.
