I have come up against a couple of issues:
- I cannot get a view of all automations for a particular view - I think you need to click on each user to see what they have set up.
- I am not able to edit other users automations despite being an admin
- Editing is not easy and would seem similar to delete and restart
Does anyone have any advice/ help?
I feel your pain! Automation Libraries are your best friend for this kind of thing! With some organizing this way, you can make it a LOT easier.
Automations are displayed in this order: enabled on the board (in order of last edited), disabled on the board, and recently added (if the page has not been refreshed). You can filter by library or just show enabled automations to only show that board's automations.
Are you a Workspace Admin or a Board Admin? You must be a Workspace Admin to edit other's rules. If you are a Workspace Admin, they should be in the list of automations on the board.
I personally categorize all of my automations by the person AND the kind of action they do. That way, copying them to another board is trivial and I can make duplicates with small changes for board names and the like.
Ultimately, if you do a lot of automations, your best bet is to use the API instead if you have the tech skills/time for that. It's easier to manage your actions that way if you already know basic programming/server setup.
