Appending Card Description after Unchecking Custom Field Value

Hello! 

For my Trello card I was able to figure out how to append the card description to include new information when a custom field is checked, however I cannot figure out how to append the card description to the original -when created- description and delete the added info from the custom field when unchecking the box. 

Is there an easy way to do this via triggers? Thorough descriptions as to where to make it happen are very welcome as I am not the brightest crayon in the box of markers. Thank you!

Hi @Shelby Martin - Thanks for reaching out in the Community! Unfortunately there's no straightforward way to revert descriptions as the Automation tool can't do text transformations in that way. I do have some suggestions for workarounds:

• When the custom field is checked and before updating the description, copy the card to a list dedicated to hold the 'original' description. This way when the custom field is unchecked you can lookup the copied card and reference the original description
• When the custom field is checked, post a comment in the card with the text that was is to append to the description. This way you can use comments to house the content changes instead of updating the original description.
