Adding comments to cards with tags and dates

We are wanting to use our Trello as a CRM system, which is working well.  Each customer is assigned a 'card' and this is used to record their information.  The card then follows a sales journey across multiple lists.

Within the card, we want to be able to add written comments to outline phonecalls that have taken place with solicitors, etc.  Within these comments, I'd like them to be timestamped, be able to add a due date (without having to manually add a due date) and be able to tag other staff easily.

We have tried logging under 'activity' - this timestamps, but due date can't specifically be added.

We have tried writing in the description, where we can add a due date by typing the date (using an automation) but this doesn't timestamp when the comment was added.

Are there any power-ups etc, that would help with this?

Hi Lindsey
Alberto from Crmble here with some tips. First, thank you for reaching out to the community. As far as I know and was able to confirm online there is no power-up I could find that can assign multiple due dates on a card or even one related with specific comments. Se what Trello can do in terms of Members, comments and due dates on a free plan.

Comments for Timestamps: When you add a comment to a Trello card, it automatically includes a timestamp, allowing you to track when each interaction occurred.

Due Dates: While Trello doesn't natively support assigning due dates directly within comments, you can set due dates on cards to indicate upcoming actions or follow-ups.

Tagging Team Members: Within comments, you can mention team members by typing @ followed by their username. This sends them a notification, ensuring they're promptly informed about relevant updates.

Here is a possible solution to what you are looking for: You can have multiple Check List Items using an advanced Trello plan. Each item of the list can be assigned to a specific Member and Due date (sub tasks in a card). With this you may be able to setup a Trello automation that would trigger the action of creating a Checklist item to a specific member on a specific due-date every time you write a comment including a certain Text string like "TASKIT" for example. Task it would be the only word that would trigger the action to have control on what is actually created as list items.

Hope this helps.
Cheers!
