Google Sign In Failed for an unknown reason

Hello all,

Recently I’ve received a message when attempting to log in to Trello on my iPad Pro that ‘Google Sign in Failed for an unknown reason.’ I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, powered down, etc. with no change in the error message.

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm also new to Trello, just created the account with my Google ID today on the web. Able to login on web, but iPhone app have the exact same error as yours. Clueless too.

I had the same issue, but there's a relatively simple workaround:

1. Go to your account settings (click avatar -> settings)
2. Choose "Set a password..." to set a password for your email (because SSO doesn't set a password for you, for obvious reasons)
3. After you set a new password, you can login via email & password instead of SSO

I'm having the same problem too; doesn't creating a password kinda defeat the point of using a Google Account? I'm able to sign-in with my Google account (no password) on the web and the iOS app, the problem only occurs with iPadOS.
