I love a lot of what Trello has to offer for tracking tasks, but the one thing I dislike more than anything else is Archiving cards. Every time I accidentally archive a card, it is such a chore remembering and trying to figure out how to find the card & send it to the board. I'm not the only one with this issue.
Could we please have an "Archived Cards" button that is very big and obvious where all the other buttons are in Trello?
It could be on the left-side UI with "Boards, Members, etc." somewhere, even down at the bottom...or it could show up under "Workspace Settings"...or it could appear in the top left near "Workspaces, Recent, Starred, etc."
I would just love an easy-access to archived cards that anyone can find without trouble PLEASE!
The best way to convince them is to demonstrate it's value 😜
thanks so much for your help @Dreamsuite Mike ! I'll look into this, fingers crossed I can actually convince the higher-ups to use any of it though :P

This is built into Trello and its amazing:

Hey @Chris Clark, if you've just archived a card by accident, you can restore it with the Z keyboard shortcut to undo your last action. Check out https://trello.com/shortcuts for more information.

Are you saying there is automation available in Trello, or would I have to use some outside application to achieve this? I'm not in charge of who has permission or access to what, but if it is a simple change I could propose it to my bosses.

You could use automation to prevent archiving. You can also limit who can archive, what list the card is in or any of the other card attributes...
The simplest example is:
when a card is archived, unarchive the card
