Workspace Views ?

What it is: We’ve recently shipped the new Workspace Calendar and the ability to save and quickly come back to your preferred settings.

Value-Add: We’re continuing to build out the Views suite to be more robust and valuable for our users, with the intention to: 1) improve your team members’ efficiency and performance across different boards and initiatives in a Workspace and 2) optimally distribute workload and deadlines for everyone involved.

More power and more control: the Power-Ups menu is moving ✨

What it is: We’re rolling out a brand new, simplified Power-Up menu experience on web and desktop starting February 1, 2022. The new “Power-Ups” button will be displayed on the board’s header, allowing users to:

  • Manage which buttons are displayed for Power-Ups enabled on the board
  • Access the settings for Power-Ups enabled on the board
  • Quickly find and add new Power-Ups to the board

Value-Add: When we gave all Trello users unlimited access to over 200 Power-Ups last September, we saw a big uptick in usage. However, this caused a major pain point for our users when every Power-Up they’ve enabled showed up on their board’s header. We’ve improved UX by cleaning up the board menu and displaying enabled Power-Ups under the new “Power-Ups” button in the header.

Reminder: Migration to Atlassian Accounts ✈️

What it is: For years, Trello accounts have existed as standalone accounts. Now as an Atlassian-owned organization, all Trello accounts will be associated with an Atlassian account (including Trello accounts managed by Trello Enterprise) by the end of February 2022. We will begin automatically migrating all remaining un-migrated users if they’re not already on an Atlassian account.

Value-Add: If your company uses other Atlassian Cloud products (such as Jira or Confluence), this means your Trello Enterprise users can now also be managed by your company's Atlassian admin (via admin.atlassian.com ) if your company's domain has been claimed. We trust that these changes will make your experience more seamless over time as Trello better integrates with the Atlassian family of products.

Updates to Trello Navigation ?

What it is: We added a new sidebar and new header navigation to all Trello Workspaces to make it easier for you to find and manage your boards and views within your workspace:

  • Boards are organized by Workspace in the new left-hand sidebar
  • Use the Workspaces, Starred, and Recent drop-down menus in the header to find your most important Workspaces and boards
  • Find any board by name using the search bar in the upper right
  • Moving Filtering out from the side menu into the board header and improving the UX design

Value-Add: We looked at navigation and wanted to make it easier and faster to find the boards you needed. We also wanted to give you clarity and value in how you organize your boards in Workspaces and hope this new navigation feels more clean, organized, and intuitive.

When: We began rolling out the new sidebar and header in late September 2021, and 100% of Enterprise customers have now begun seeing the new designs as of October 12, 2021. Updates to Filtering also began releasing on October 12, 2021.
