As you may be aware, Atlassian has introduced a new approach to certification renewal by implementing Continuing Education (CE) units. This innovative strategy is detailed on the Maintain Your Certification page, but it can take some time to fully grasp. After spending about 40 minutes understanding the process, I've created a concise guide to help fellow certified professionals navigate this system more easily.
Atlassian certifications are valid for two years, followed by 90-day grace period for renewal. To renew, you can earn CE units through various activities.
Earn CE units by finishing courses on Atlassian University or attending/watching webinars from the Live Learning Program.
Participate in local or global Atlassian events, either in person or virtually, to earn additional CE units.
The mind map I've created breaks down the process into two main branches:
Focuses on the fine print and few important questions.
Highlights the various ways to earn CE units, providing a clear visual representation of the renewal process.
This version aims to provide a clear and concise overview of the certification renewal process using CE points, making it easier for readers to understand and navigate the system.
