Simplifying Atlassian Certification Renewal: A Guide to Continuing Education Units

As you may be aware, Atlassian has introduced a new approach to certification renewal by implementing Continuing Education (CE) units. This innovative strategy is detailed on the Maintain Your Certification page, but it can take some time to fully grasp. After spending about 40 minutes understanding the process, I've created a concise guide to help fellow certified professionals navigate this system more easily.

Understanding CE points

Atlassian certifications are valid for two years, followed by 90-day grace period for renewal. To renew, you can earn CE units through various activities.

Completing Courses:

Earn CE units by finishing courses on Atlassian University or attending/watching webinars from the Live Learning Program.

Attending Events:

Participate in local or global Atlassian events, either in person or virtually, to earn additional CE units.
