This is a pretty different post from what I'm finding in the Community. Still, I find it necessary.

Hi, everybody!

My name is Antonio. I joined Deiser (Atlassian Platinum Partner) as a Content Marketing Specialist last April. Before, I worked at a tech recruiting company. There, I learnt a lot about soft skills and these kind of things we don't notice in an everyday basis, but are essential.

Sorry for the personal spam, but I needed to make a quick introduction.

What I wanted to talk about today is soft skills in Atlassian environment.

Let me introduce you to my team:

These people are nice, kind and hardworking. But also they are the best in their jobs.

We are consultants, we are communicators, but, what we are most is people.

Every time we have to work, hand by hand, with a client, we try to understand the best possible their problem and their concerns. We don't mind how big the client or the project is. Each client needs to be handed as if it was the top notch company.

But also, I have noticed something really curious. Every company I have met in the ecosystem has the same employee pattern. People at Atlassian, people at every partner, works their a** off to reach the best results possible.

And I think this soft skills factor makes us the best ecosystem to work and to grow.

This is all I wanted to share with you, guys.

Never forget the importance of great soft skills.

Never forget the importance of a great communication between colleagues and clients.

Always bet on people and their development.

Best!

Thanks for taking the time to share @Antonio Rodríguez _Deiser_. It really is something that employers and companies need to focus on to continue to develop their employees in their current roles and beyond.

Thanks for your comment, Andy! Absolutely! If you help someone develop their career, they'll turn back to you as hard work! It is a win win!

I wish soft skills weren't important.  I am the most comfortable driving things from the back of the room.

Shawn, thanks for your comment.

Absolutely! I don't understand soft skills as "good soft skills" / "bad soft skills". I understand soft skills as a discipline that helps teams boost their productivity.

There are different roles in a company. Thanks to the discipline you'll be able to find the role that fits you best easier. Don't you think so?

@Antonio Rodríguez _Deiser_ ,

Thanks for your insights! It often helps to get the real 'why' behind certain questions/requirements, which in turn helps deliver better results :-)

I'm still puzzled sometimes why I am quite capable of building a network within a company that I'm working at, while having more difficulty to do so outside of the work space. I guess it's all about finding people that you're connected to - with work that's arguably easier since you (hopefully) share a common goal/purpose.

Regardless, as @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM stated, I tend to like working somewhat in the background as well. Putting on some nice music and going full focus mode diving into whatever needs to be solved or could be improved.

That's curious, Hans! And, also, a really good point.

Yes, I think work is a natural place to build relations due to the common interests (goals, mission...). Thanks for your comment!
