@Peter Van de Voorde started to post some articles about games and how they can foster a good team culture and understanding for each other. That inspired me to take part in that initiative because I love games and being around people.
When I thought about which game I can contribute, The Mind came to my mind:
In this cooperative game, you have number cards from 1 to 100. Everyone gets dealt one card for the first round. The goal is to play them in the right (ascending) order into the middle without talking to each other. If you play a card and another one has a lower one, you all lose. If you succeed, you can play the next level and get 2 cards for the next round, and so on.
So, everyone becomes silent and just plays their card when they feel it's the right time. Simple, but you ask, when is the right time? Well, that's the big question..
I like that in this game everyone is equal, not the loudest, dominant player is the most important person. Every person counts - and you have to make sure that no one is left behind, otherwise you all lose. In addition to that, it's a great training to align on something you all care about without many words...
PS: Don't try to play it in a loud, distracting environment. Concentration is key.
Thanks for this! Really loving this "series" 😁
I always wanted to play this game, graphics are so beautiful!
Thanks for sharing!
@Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ Sound exiting! Let's play next time on Team24, but not in the Venetian ;)
I'll try to remember to bring it - but yes, a loud environment like the Venetian might be the wrong place. Maybe in a break at the community workshop 😏
@Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ This is really good. I was looking into game suggestions so we can play it in our team meetings. We can definitely give this a try!
Sounds like a pretty good game. Easy to understand but not that easy to play, I guess.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
This game sounds fun. It also sounds like one my team would lose A LOT.
hahaha....this sounds awesome. definitely not a drinking game, though! I'm afraid in my circle of people, the "silence" part of it would take some serious work. This would be perfect for teams who need to listen more.
Hi Matthias! That sounds like a very interesting game. When was the last time you played with your team? What did you learn about each other and the team's dynamic?
I think, we played it around a year ago.
For me the main learning here is to be aware that there are different team members who think/feel different - and in order to solve a common goal (win the game) we have to find a common ground how we get things done.
Wow, all the games that you're showing us are amazing. Thank you for sharing @Matthias Gaiser _K15t_
