I would like to start a discussion about the stride desktop client. Currently it is an electron "desktop application" which essentially loads the web site and hogs 1.5 (one and a half) gigabytes of RAM.

Are there any plans to provide a proper multi platform desktop application? It could be written in something like QT to support all major platforms, perform way better than the current solution and would also be better integrated into the desktop.

This is eating up my data allowance.  Will ATLASSIAN compensate me when their 'forced new' chat system kicks me over my limit?

 

This new 'Stride' is not ready. It looks like it doesn't even have it's shoes on yet.  Too many things not working right, options non-existent, etc, yet we were forced over.

So... is there anything happening here? Is it settled then that Atlassian drops electron in favour of a proper desktop framework? Good. When can we expect to see the first actual desktop client for stripe?
