share components between several Private Pages

Hi !

We're using different Private Pages for our Organization and i was wondering if it's possible to share components (and how) between those Pages, as we have some shared global products (such as Identity components for instance). That would be helpfful ! thanks !

Hello Saleh,

This is Jesse from the Statuspage support team. Welcome to the community and thanks for your question around sharing components between private pages.

Unfortunately, there is nothing built indirectly to accomplish this. What you could do, however, is grab the component data whenever it changes using the API and then, also using the API, you could write that to the components on other pages.

This would require some scripting to accomplish but this is the only way to accomplish this with private pages. If this were public pages, we would recommend adding your public page as a 3rd party component but with private pages that would not work.

I hope you have a great day!

Regards,
Jesse

Hi Jesse thanks for your answer !

we'll dig into that 'use API calls' workaround to have automatic status update shared across pages, but this means every private page owner has to create a dedicated component (with same name hopefully but different api id) and provide component 'owner' with api id to be included in a 'propagated' status update script...

could be included as a new feature (would be nice!)

have a nice day
