Hey Folks,
Wondering how you reschedule a maintenance without statuspage sending multiple email alerts. Currently the way we post a status is with a message saying what we are doing, and when we are doing it (including multiple timezones our clients are in). When updating to a new date/time, we need to edit both the message and the schedule which are on separate tabs, and saving either sends a confusing email to our clients. Is there a proper workflow here? Is there a way to update both, then push a single email with the new correct data?
Thanks!
Hey Santino, thanks for reaching out with this question. If you have any examples of specific maintenance incidents where you had this issue, I can take a look, but generally speaking, updating the "Schedule & automation" tab for a maintenance should not send notifications to page subscribers - Notifications should only be going out when you post an update on the "Status update" tab for the maintenance, while also having the "Send notifications" box checked.
Regards,
Alan
We may have been doing it backwards. We will test it out on the next one and let you know! Thank you very much!
