How to get around GraphQL error when creating Datadog sourced metric?

Andy Brooks March 11, 2024

I am following https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/add-a-datadog-metric/ and have been unable to have success with the "Add a Datadog metric to Statuspage" steps.  I have tried with many different JSON payloads from the metrics but I am consistently receiving a generic error stating "GraphQL error: Unknown error."

I tried inspecting the network activity in my browser but have found no insight there.  I can also see both my API and Application keys are getting used in Datadog during these attempts.  I have set my Application key for read rights to metrics and synthetics with the expectation that this would satisfy the need from Statuspage.

I also have a Pingdom integration which I was able to create a metric with and publish without issue.
