🎁 Peggy’s Picks: My favorite Jira automations for you

Let's dive into some of my favorite Jira automations that can save you time and sanity (because who doesn't need more of both?!).

Auto-create sub-tasks: Tired of manually creating sub-tasks for every new issue? Let automation do the heavy lifting. Say goodbye to repetitive tasks and hello to shipping more cool stuff for your customers!

Use smart auto-assign: Ensure someone is accountable for every issue.

Sync parent and child tasks: Make sure the parent task gets closed with its sub-tasks. No more loose ends!

Commit and transition: Sync your Jira issue status to actions taken in your CI/CD system.

Send a Slack summary: Track the team's to-dos with this daily backlog reminder. Because who doesn't love a good checklist?!

What else are you trying to automate? Let me know and I'll see if I can recommend a Jira automation for you.

I hope one of these automations can take some work off your plate!

Thanks for sharing these @Peggy Graham ! We use some of these daily and I can say they just save sooo much time :)

One note though as videos mention Automation playground/template library - it seems that rule examples are broken (I've seen a couple of people mentioning this as well).
For example, if you go to https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/most-popular and then click on Go to rule link (for pretty much any rule), it would just display the same page.

If you could forward this info to the content team to look at it, it would be much appreciated 🙏

@Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ Thank you for flagging! I've reported this to the correct internal team.
