is SourceTree throttling network ?

I am experiencing 10x faster clone speed with "Git Bash" than with SourceTree, same machine, same repo, same everything... When I look at network traffic, it all works out like if it was throttled to 384Kbps upstream and 768Kbps downstream...

Windows 7 client. TeamForge repo.
