Where is the current Sparkle feed for Sourcetree?

tjluoma August 26, 2018

The current version of the app:

Sourcetree.app:

CFBundleShortVersionString: 2.7.6

CFBundleVersion: 177

has references to this Sparkle Appcast / RSS Feed:

https://www.sourcetreeapp.com/update/SparkleAppcast.xml

but if you look at it, you'll notice that nothing has been added to that feed since **25 Oct 2016** (version 2.3.2).

Version 2.3.2 _will_ offer to update itself to 2.7.6 if you let it check for updates, but I’m curious what Sparkle / Appcast URL it is using, and why the old one is no longer updated.

Does anyone know the current, correct URL for Sourcetree updates?

ps - the reason I ask is that I maintain a set of scripts designed to let Mac users automatically update their apps, and it works best when I can use the Sparkle Appcast URLs, rather than resorting to scraping HTML off https://www.sourcetreeapp.com or some such other alternative. One big reason is the ability to check cryptographic signatures via the Sparkle feeds. You can’t get that scraping HTML.

You can find the scripts at https://github.com/tjluoma/di if you're interested
