Sourcetree cannot get through registration

I have the same problem as this post 

Souretree registration problem ...

Using windows server 2012

Updated chrome

and a fresh install of sourcetree stuck on the Registration with browser authentication success but next button disabled.

and I am getting this error message from sourcetree.log

Hi

If you already have a Bitbucket account could you try using Git, and the Git Credential Manager for Windows that bundles with it, to try and clone a private repo?

This should prompt you for credentials, does this then work?

From the error it looks like something is closing the connection, I wonder if the SSL/TLS configuration is failing, if that is the case then I might expect a clone of a private repo to fail too.
