I installed the new version of SourceTree and it said I needed to upgrade Mercurial.  However, we are using Git instead of Mercurial.  Do I still need to upgrade Mercurial?

No. You don't have to update mercurial if you aren't using it. It is recommended for mercurial users to upgrade for the latest security fixes.
