Not prompting for username and password for remote github when trying to clone

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
When starting with no information in the Authentication tab
And I attempt to Clone a "remote" repository for the first time...
I never get the dialog to enter a "Username and Password" which should allow me to enter the personal access token.
How can I get the "Username and Password" dialog to prompt?
Note: This worked in the past, but I had to get my crashed hard drive replaced.
