I have installed SourceTree 3.3.6 and when I switch branches, I have to exit and enter SourceTree

I have Atlassian Bitbucket and I installed SourceTree

1. Like everyone else, there is no start menu item, even after re-installing

2. If I want to switch branches, I have to
     a. switch branches

     b. exit and re-enter SourceTree

For the branch switching, try hitting F5. It seems to be mostly a UI issue (see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN-12705)

I solved the branch switching problem by uninstalling 3.3.6 and installing 3.3.4.  Still no solution to the start menu item missing.
