How to upgrade from sourceTree 1.7 to 1.9

Can I just install 1.9 over 1.7 or have to uninstall 1.7 first?

Do I need to back up the configuration/license?

Are there impact on check out repositories?

I believe the 1.9 installer will replace 1.7, no need to uninstall.

Configurations should be preserved.

NO impact on repositories.

The will probably be a slight hitch with the license. In 1.8, Atlassian changed how licenses work. During/after installation of 1.9, you'll need to log in with an Atlassian ID in order for the software to register. I don't know if there is a reliable solution yet for users trying to install SourceTree in isolated (no internet) environments.
