Rovo's name was first put forth into the universe on stage in May at Team '24. And after much hype, lots of speculation, and a metric ton of work from our Atlassian developers, our new AI Teammate is officially onboarding.
Wild applause! Back slaps! High fives! Deep breathing 🧘♂️
TL; DR: Say adios to digging through endless info and say "oh hai there" to all your organizational knowledge.
Big thanks to our Beta testers! Our beta testers are the real ones. They stepped up to the plate, trial-ed this thang, pushed it to the limits and came out the other wide with major time savings and a workflow boost. Plus a couple suggestions to make Rovo better, faster, cooler.
Rovo Search: Think of it like someone bringing all the balloon strings together. Here's how: Rovo search connects all data across different tools so you can find what you need without the headache. With Rovo Search Connectors, you can grab info from Atlassian, GitHub, Google Drive, and more—all in one place.
Rovo Chat: Your go-to guru Rovo Chat is like that one person who knows where all the bodies are buried in the organization. Too dark? Look it's October - my brain is feelin' spooky. Maybe better said, it's the teammate that you slack when no one else knows a thing.
Rovo Chrome Extension: Extensions are lyfe. Rovo browser extension follows you wherever you go, even in Google Docs!
Rovo Agents: Agents are like a personal workflow wizard. Think Fantasia Mickey but trying to help you instead of... well whatever he was trying to do. There are already 20 ready-to-use Agents so jump right in. If you're feeling crafty, whhhhhhip up custom ones to suit your needs.
Developer Buds: Atlassian is rolling out an early access program just for you! New AI Agents will put in virtual elbow grease to help with code completion, plan generation, and pull request tips—all within Jira.
AI for Service and Incident Management: But wait, there’s more! Atlassian’s AI is also stepping up service delivery and incident management. With new AIOps features in Jira Service Management, you’ll get alerts grouped together, smart resource suggestions, and automated support requests to keep everything running smoothly.
Did I mix metaphors enough? Probably next time I should fire up a Rovo agent for this 😎
