When migrating users from one directory to another, will the system be unavailable?

Scottie Brimmer December 14, 2015

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Migrating users between user directories

I am adding a user directory (LDAP Auth with local groups).  Then I am going to migrate the users.

Will currently logged in users get kicked out?  If not, will they be migrated?  How can I "force log out" anyone besides me?

Thanks!

It doesn't take the system offline but I am not sure what happens to an already logged in user because I have always done this during off-peak hours. My recommendation is to do this when no-one else is using the system and , of-course, do some testing before asking users to test it.

Since the groups are also moved, there shouldn't be any difference in the way system works after the migration.
