How release an aplication version on JIRA without use Bamboo?

We're just starting the project, and for while (at least), we don't want to depend on Bamboo to release versions.

How can we do that? If is necessary disable some plugin or whatever that only the support team can do, I ask to be done.

Hello Emerson,

You can follow the steps described here to Release Versions within JIRA, but without using Bamboo for that.
