Is there a way to set up the LDAP connection to not import LDAP groups? I see one setting to use only LDAP info, one to mix the info, and one to write info back to LDAP. What I'd like to do is manage groups entirely in Confluence.

If you want LDAP only for password authentication, this is described here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Connecting+to+an+Internal+Directory+with+LDAP+Authentication
