I have my actions in a table and then I have put a task report at the top, I think because the actions are in a table with individual columns for Owner, Due date etc my task report is not pulling this information. Can someone help me?
for Confluence to be able to recognize an assignee and a due date belonging to a task the information has to be together in the task and not spread across multiple columns. So you are already aware of a possible solution here. For the task report to properly work you will have to add the information to the task but of course, you can still maintain your table structure.
