notify on-call person via voice/sms and also notify all team members via email only

i have configured a routing rule, escalation, and schedule (roster) for our opsgenie team

but there's a requirement to send the alert to all team members as well.

 

alert comes in via API integration and i have set alert properties for Tags=XX on 'create alert'

[routing rule] if tag=XX, route to XX_escalation

[escalation policy] XX_escalation: if not acknowledged by 0min, notify on-call person based on [schedule] XX_schedule via call/sms, also notify all team members via email only

 

is this scenario possible? if yes, how would it be configured?

Yes, this configuration is possible with the caveat that the notification will be sent to all team members, however, it depends on each of the team member's notification rules whether an email or email/SMS/voice/app notification will be sent out to them.

In the escalation policy, you can select the condition "Notify all members of team", as below:

However, the notification will be sent out according to each team member's notification rules configured.

You can also use a central notification template in Opsgenie, which lets you define and control each team member's notification rules for alert notifications.
