Unable to manually interact with Opsgenie Alerts

Summary

You may run into an issue where you are unable to Create, Acknowledge, Close, or Add a Note to an Alert manually and receive an error of "Incoming data does not match any actions." Basically, you are unable to interact with Opsgenie Alerts.

What causes this type of issue and how can it be solved?

This happens when the Default API has been updated to include incorrect Alert Action Conditions. When working with the Global Default API integration (which is created automatically for default use) you should not be using any conditions.

So, when you create Alerts Manually or Ack or Close Alerts Manually they go by the Global Default API configuration. They don't go through any other integration that initially created the Alert Integration, for example. So if there are any conditions on this Default API Integration it will error with the message above:

To solve this type of issue you will need to update the Alert Rules to have no conditions on the Alert Filters. After that, your Default API integration will allow you to manually interact with Opsgenie Alerts. :)

Hope this helps!
