Hi all,
In classic Jira service desks it's possible to hide and preset the summary for a given request type.
For example if you had a request type called 'Request time off' you can hide the summary field on the portal, and preset the summary text to 'Request for time off' or whatever.
It looks like this isn't yet included in the next-gen service desk. Does anyone know if this is on the roadmap, or if there is a way to do it that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Tom
Hello @Tom Browning
Thank you for reaching out.
Indeed, the ability to preset and hide the summary field from the customer portal of Next-gen projects is not available at this moment, however, this functionality is already being tracked in our roadmap.
In fact, we created the feature request below to get it implemented:
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
For now, the only workaround we have would be to use a Classic project. This documentation will help you to migrate any content you might need from Next-gen to Classic in case you would like to proceed this way:
Migrate between next-gen and classic projects
