Hello all,
currently I have found out new possibilities how to be more productive with Autocomplete & Markdown.
But things mentioned in Confluence Wiki Markup doesn't work for me.
I have free version of Confluence Cloud and New editor.
- something or * something always bring me
Also any type of tables doesn't work for me.
||Text||Test||Text|| don't bring table at all.
Also this one.
||heading 1||heading 2||heading 3||
|cell A1|cell A2|cell A3|
|cell B1|cell B2|cell B3|
Any ideas?
Thanks for help

Hello Maros,
Thank you for contacting us about this. Can you tell me how you are inserting your markup?
Wiki markup is useful when you want to do one of the following:
Create links using the Advanced tab of the Links Browser.
Add custom content to the header or footer of a space.
Insert a block of wiki markup (or markdown) into the Confluence editor. (Choose Insert > Markup.)
Note that Markup will NOT work in the new editor, so you won't be able to insert it directly into a page using the new editor.
I've tested your markup by adding it to the Header of a space, and it seems to work:
My assumption is you might be pasting the markup directly into a page, which will not work. For that, I would recommend using the features of the editor itself to build your page.
There's a feature request to support Wiki Markup in the new editor which you can vote on below:
Thank you, and take care.

Hi Shannon,
Now I understand.
Yes I tried to use Wiki Markup in new editor because I use Cloud version.
I also have a Trial Server version and there everything works like a charm.
I saw Autoformatting in Atlassian Confluence Demo Video but it is for Confluence Server only.
So I hope that one day those functionalities will be also available for Cloud version of the product.
For frequent users I will call it shortcuts are more effective like click for everything.
Have a nice day.
Maros

Hi Maros,
That sounds right, thank you for letting me know that. I'm sorry that you won't be able to use wiki markup in this case.
Take care, and have a pleasant week.
Shannon
