Script Runner Issue Picker not displaying correctly in Issues Navigator

I've created a script runner Script Field based off the Issue(s) Picker item and while it works perfectly in Edit mode it only displays 'code' when presented as a column in the results of an Issues Navigator query?

E.g.

$cannedScript.getNavigatorViewHtml($issue, $customField, $fieldLayoutItem, $!value)

I followed this walk-through: Issue-picker

I though the problem might be Template related but Field editor doesn't let me select one and the Custom Field Details screen only has 1 choice "Issue Picker Searcher".

Does anyone know what I've missed/how to fix this?

The field is shown in it's various states below and is named "The Project"

ps. I'm running Jira Software (Server) v7.11.2 and Script Runner Add-On v5.4.39

Hi Garry!

As far as I can see there are no logged bugs regarding this issue. I would suggest that you open a support request in our customer support portal to try and get some help from there.

Keep a watch on https://productsupport.adaptavist.com/browse/SRJIRA-3091 . That's the bug report that came out of this.
